Grace and Mercy – The Discerning Daisy Podcast

When I was younger I used to hear that Mercy is when we do not receive what we deserve, () and Grace is when we receive what we don’t deserve (Jesus Christ). This was a precious definition that I have loved through the years. However, I didn’t always see how to apply these two concepts in practice beyond having a thankful heart. But, I finally got a revelation that helped me to better understand these two incredible gifts God has given us.

The church that is described in the Book of Acts does not have a denomination. But, that church founded on Jesus Christ and empowerd by the Holy Spirit has been multiplied throughout the world to be the Church with true believers who have become part of His global body.

I will be doing some traveling in the next few weeks, but I hope soon, I will be able to come back on here and share Part 2 of this podcast where I will talk about how the Global Body of Christ reaches the nations and spans across every nation, tribe, and language. This isn’t because somehow God was into philanthropy. It is because as I learned in my very first church, God so loved the world. Because He loved the world, He gave us Jesus. Because He gave us Jesus, we are now part of His body.

I hope that I gave you some encouragement today, and that the Holy Spirit used my experiences to stretch your understanding of what the global body of Christ looks like outside of particular denominations.
